About

Seven Kings Relais

Seven Kings Relais is a 3-star hotel on Via Venti Settembre, in Rome's bank and embassy district. It is described as being in the Via Veneto area, where old coffee shops sit alongside elegant and exclusive places, and Piazza di Spagna is about a 20-minute walk away. It holds a guest rating of 8 from 573 reviews, with rooms from £73.

Guest reviews paint a consistent picture: the street is quiet and safe, the rooms feel modern and clean, and the staff are the standout. The hotel doesn't rely on extensive on-site amenities — the facilities rating is the weakest category — so the appeal is an honest, comfortable base with strong service and easy public transport.

What works, what to weigh

Strengths

3 reasons to book
  • Exceptionally helpful staff — Guest reviews consistently describe kind, accommodating staff who provide maps, transport guidance, luggage storage after checkout and even meet confused guests at the door. The Staff rating category sits at 8.7.
  • Quiet, convenient location for sightseeing — The hotel is in the bank and embassy district, where guests say the street is calm at night. Piazza di Spagna is a 20-minute walk away, bus stops sit outside, the Metro is around the corner and Termini is within walking distance for some guests.
  • Modern rooms and a sensible price — Several guests mention newly renovated rooms, comfortable beds, air conditioning and practical extras such as kettles and refrigerators. Rooms start at £73, and the Value rating is 7.8.

Worth weighing

4 to weigh
  • Entrance is easy to miss — There's no sign on the building. The entry is described as two large brown doors near a corner flower shop, with a doorbell on the right. Staff have helped guests who were unsure whether they were at the right place, but it helps to know the system in advance.
  • Limited check-in window — Check-in is only between 13:00 and 20:00, and check-out is at 10:00. This may be tight for late arrivals.
  • Facilities are limited — The Facilities rating is 5.0 out of 10, the lowest category. There is no restaurant listed among the amenities, and several guests mention going to nearby cafés for breakfast.
  • Parking isn't listed — The hotel's policies and amenities don't mention parking. Guests arriving by car would need to find a nearby option; the surrounding public transport is the more obvious way in and out.

“I had a great four-night stay. The location made sightseeing easy, and there was a Costa Coffee nearby for tea and coffee.”

8Verified guest

“The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the location was excellent for tourist sights, with bus and train links close by. I would definitely recommend staying here.”

8Verified guest

“I really enjoyed my four-night stay. My single room was stylish with a comfortable bed, and the staff were the highlight. The location was lovely, close to an electric pedal car while taking in the surroundings, with popular attractions, restaurants and mini markets nearby.”

8Verified guest

“The triple room had a modern interior design, and the location was excellent for visiting bars and cafés, with the main shopping centre and shopping streets within walking distance.”

8Verified guest

“Great location in the middle of the bank and embassy district, with restaurants and bars around and a non-touristic feel. It was quiet enough to sleep at night, easy to reach from the central train station, and walking into the city centre wasn't too far. The rooms were new and modern.”

“I loved my stay, but the hotel does not have a sign outside the building. You arrive at two big brown doors near a corner flower shop and ring the bell on the right. When I called because I thought I was lost, staff met me at the door, which was kind. The entrance doesn't reflect the quality inside — it's a beautiful place and one of the best European hotels I've stayed in. Staff are available 24 hours and were all wonderful. On arrival they gave us detailed guidance, a map and lots of transport information. They don't serve breakfast, but there are many cafés nearby. It's a short drive from the train station, about €7, and just around the corner from the Metro, with a bus stop right outside. The Metro is an easy way to get around Rome. I will absolutely stay here again.”
